Recovery does not mean life becomes easy.
It means we no longer have to face the hard days the way we once did.
Recovery month 2026
“When I turned 30, I was addicted to crack cocaine. My life circled around the next hit. In February 1988, after an intervention, then multiple relapses, my “eskimo” friend Laird brought me to meetings at the Log Cabin & West Hollywood Recovery Center. It was then I rediscovered joy and found a sense of community in the open arms of those trudging the road of recovery by my side. Now, 38 years later, I have an opportunity to give back to the West Hollywood Recover Center with service and support. Thank you for giving me my life back!”
