Recovery month 2026 Adam Guzman / The Board President

The stories may end, but the legacy continues.

Recovery lives on through every life we touch.

Recovery month 2026

“20 years ago, I walked into Friday nite at the WHRC and it was filled with people who had long term sobriety. The following week I went to the Log Cabin and it was standing room only with people spilling out onto the sidewalk. With less than 30 days of sobriety, it was comforting to know there were people who had a day more, a week more, a month more than I had. Laughter, clapping, stories, and solution; I heard it all and kept coming back.

The power of knowing we are not alone. We show up for ourselves and others, even when our lives get busy and our ism wants us to isolate. I’ve gained a freedom that I didn’t know was possible for me when I started and I’ve seen others achieve the same.

These recovery spaces are sacred. Our Board of Directors strive to protect these spaces for those seeking recovery today, tomorrow, and for decades to come. “
